In the Woods

This is a two-night overnight stay experience.  Please prepare to bring the following:

​

Clothing

 

  • Shirts (no sleeveless or low cut)

  • Shorts (longer shorts, no short shorts)

  • Undergarments

  • Pajamas

  • Modest Swimsuit (1 piece / Tankini with no midriff showing - two-piece may be work with a shirt on top)

  • Sweatshirt or light jacket (check the temps)

  • Rain jacket or poncho (based on the weather)

  • Close-Toed Shoes (open toe aren't allowed at the campsite)

  • Extra socks

  • Hat (if you want)

  • Bag for wet stuff

  • Pool Towel

  • Bathing Towel

 

Toiletries

 

  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste

  • Shampoo/Conditioner / Body Wash

  • Sunscreen

  • Bug spray (there will be bugs)

  • Lip balm

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Any sanitary products you may need

  • Shower shoes (flip flops)

TIP:  Recommend packing toiletries in a bag that can hang so that YW can carry with them to the bathrooms to hand and use while showering for easy access.  

 

Other

 

  • Scriptures

  • Journal/pen

  • Camera (not with your phone)

  • Water bottle

  • Watch

  • Camp chair

  • Flashlight with extra batteries and/or lantern

  • Medication (prescriptions can be given to Camp Nurse upon arrival for safety)

  • Fishing Pole (if interested in fishing at camp)

  • Fishing License (if you are 16 years or older and would like to fish Pennsylvania requires that you have a valid fishing license)

Overnight

 

  • Ground Cloth / Small Tarp

  • Sleeping Bag or twin size fitted sheet/blanket.  Recommend bringing both so you can put the sheet down over your cot and then sleep in your sleeping bag.  

  • Pillow

​Alternative:  As we will be sleeping outdoors in A-Frame Style tents, it is recommended to consider bringing a bug net tent to place on your cot.  See the download packing list for links to bug nets.

Things to Note:

  • PHONES are not recommended to be brought but they are permitted as long as they are used appropriately and support your participation at camp.   

  • No sleeveless shirts or tanktops; shirts must cover the stomach​​

  • Closed toe shoes must be worn at camp during activities
