Packing List
This list is provided to help you gather the gear you will need to be successful at Trek.
You are limited in the amount of gear you can bring due to the space limitations of the handcart and in your bucket.
Be careful with what you decide to pack.
You might consider sharing items like insect repellant and hand sanitizer.
We will have three full-time medical staff dedicated to making sure everyone stays safe and hydrated.
You will need the items listed here, but please don’t bring anything else as there may not be room for it.
Please be sure to label all of your equipment with your name via a permanent marker.

Things to Note:
-
PHONES are not permitted at TREK. It is our hope that youth can become immersed in the experience and connect with their fellow TREK family members.
-
No sleeveless shirts or tank tops; shirts must cover the stomach
-
Due to the nature of the activity, it is important for the youth to be aware of the risk of chafing. Chafing is a common skin problem caused by any combination of friction, moisture, and irritating fabric. Prolonged rubbing on the skin makes your skin sting or burn, and you develop a mild, red rash. To avoid chafing, it is important to stay dry and friction-free by:
-
Wearing moisture wicking undergarments
-
Watching out for clothing cut - avoid too tight, has folds or digs into your skin
-
Have Clothing back ups - sometimes simply switching out for dry change of clothes can help.
-
Bring anti-chafing products: deodorant, talc-like power, anti-chafing sticks. Here is a link to purchase a suggested one on Amazon.
